GOT TO RETURN

Jeremiah 6:16 NKJV Thus says the Lord: “Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls. But they said, ‘We will not walk in it.’
As we look back over the messages shared in the Word of God, even from the days of the early church that paved the way for us, we see a pattern of holiness. It was in those environments that the presence of God showed up in supernatural manifestations. This is the hour that God is drawing His Church back into His presence through the holiness and purity He has supplied for us.
As the Lord said through the prophet Jeremiah, “Stand in the ways and see.” God was dealing with His people to step back and look at all the different ways people are choosing to walk.
We see that the moral compass in our world has been broken. It has been left up to the people to determine on their own what they want to call good and what they want to call evil.
Left to ourselves, we will always make the wrong decisions when it comes to holiness and purity.
The prophet went on to say, “And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it.” God is once again calling for His people to look back at the instruction for a life of holiness and purity.
There is so much moral failure happening everywhere we look. The answer to help this dilemma is bringing a true focus back to the holiness and purity that is supported only by a healthy fear of the Lord.
Our pastors, prophets, evangelists, apostles, and teachers must get back to the old message that was bringing people to see sin as the enemy of their life. There must be a holy fear that comes back into preaching that causes people to take a serious look at their life and come to a real godly sorrow for the sin that has controlled their life. True repentance brings people into a lifestyle that will seek to live a holy life in the fear of the Lord.
So where are we today? When was the last time you heard a series preached on sin and iniquity? When was the last time messages were preached on the fear of the Lord? How about this one…the reality of a place called Hell?
This is about bringing people face to face with the reality of the full gospel. People need to see the whole truth in order to be able to make responsible decisions about their life.
My heart is that God will get the heart and ear of His men in this hour who will take up the whole armor of God and begin to preach like people’s eternity depends on that message.
