From time to time, I hear of setbacks and storms in local churches. Most pastors are under the gun, overworked and carrying too many burdens. Tired but not necessarily burned out. If you are not there as you read this, those seasons will certainly come. We live in enemy territory!
Good news, remember who we serve. We serve the God of Heaven, “The Most High rules in the Kingdom of men…” Daniel 4:18 NKJV. I read a late night T.V. comedian truthful comments: “Tsunamis, earth quakes, hurricanes, tornados, floods, terror attacks increasing, etc. This might not be a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance.” I might add, it is not a good time for our nation to honor Planned Parenthood, same-sex marriage and erect a Temple of Baal in Times Square.
I do rejoice and meditate in the truth that God is in control and will have the last word on everything. ISIS is not in control! President Obama and the Democratic Party are not in control! The Jezebel or the Absalom in your church is not in control. God does rule over the affairs of men! And if we trust Him He will have the last word on every storm or setback.
So let’s look unto the hills from which cometh our help. Our help and strength come from the Almighty who created Heaven and Earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved or your ship to sink! Jesus is Lord! (Psalms 121:1-3 paraphrased)
You and yours are in my often prayers. I got your back covered!
Rejoicing,
